Autistic Kids – What is the biggest challenge?

Autism, what is the biggest challenge?

Autism is a developmental disorder that impacts the nervous system where a child has difficulty socializing and interacting with others.
Autism varies in severity from one child to another, and some of the early signs of autism in children are:
– Developmental delay
– Having a language disorder (such as nonverbal communication)
– A social delay
– Repetitive behaviors or speech
– Obsessive interests.

How children and adults with Autism learn, think, and problem-solve can range from highly skilled to severely challenged.

Some autistic children may appear normal to others but not to their parents. These parents choose to remain in denial by fooling themselves and not accepting this fact, and being ashamed of having their child labeled as autistic.

If parents stay in denial about this painful truth, they will rob their autistic child of reaching their potential, and the family will not be able to achieve any normalcy in their lives.

Since you cannot fix autism by refusing it, parents and caregivers’ early recognition, acceptance, and understanding of autism through resources and tools and engaging and getting some help in behavioral, educational, and family therapies may reduce symptoms and support development and learning.
Therefore, you will have more control over tantrums and provide the autistic child with some room to achieve their dreams.

After years of dealing with parents who have Autistic kids, I also found out that the most challenging cases usually came from parents who have emotional issues, relationship problems, and social pressures.
